
FDA Approves First Generic Version of EpiPen

THE FOOD AND DRUG Administration has approved the first generic version of the EpiPen to treat emergent and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions.
The generic version of EpiPen and EpiPen Jr., manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals, received the FDA’s stamp of approval this week to market its generic epinephrine auto-injector in two different strengths, according to a press release from the agency.
